Patch 0.5.0


This patch changes save file data. It is recommended that you backup your save files before updating.

  • Overworld refactor for further updates (could result in new bugs)
  • Overworld map visuals updated, now unique background and colors per world
  • Added Journal that tracks a lot of different stats for the entire game and for individual levels
  • Position in overworld is saved in save file
  • Capitalized the main campaign name
  • Added a progress bar during game load
  • Added a confirm screen when going back to save select while on the speedrun save (as it resets the save)
  • Keybindings moved to single column to failsafe languages with very long names
  • Renamed "Jump" to "Jump/Confirm" and "Back" to "Roll/Back" in key binding menu
  • Added option in Game menu to toggle if you Roll when tapping Down on landing. Default value is On
  • Pause SFX now plays when pausing the editor
  • Landing SFX no longer plays when restarting a level that spawns you on the gorund
  • Confirm SFX no longer plays simultaneously with unpause SFX when clicking "Resume" in editor menu
  • Unpausing in editor no longer restarts music
  • Fixed issue where reset orbs could be used twice in a short interval
  • Prevented the player from accidentally skipping the game end screen by going to menu or restarting the level
  • Game end screen timer now only factors in levels in the current game instead of all levels. This might lead to old save files having slightly incorrect times
    Water beam sprites are now visible in level previews
  • Changed max name length from 14 character to 960 pixels (this increases possible name length to around ~21 characters on average, depending on the characters' width)
